Before launching Earthpulse in 2020, she worked at the European Space Agency and later in the private sector, where she focused on the intersection of Earth Observation, data analytics, and real-world applications. At her core, she is a problem-solver committed to making advanced satellite analytics a true commodity: simple to use, integrated, scalable, and impactful for decision-makers at every level, everywhere.

Juan is Co-Founder and CTO of Earthpulse. He is an AI expert, constantly exploring the capabilities of deep learning applied to satellite imagery. Juan is pushing cutting-edge ideas from the AI community to the space sector, being a reference at the main European forums on the power of AI for earth observation.Amongst his portfolio of projects, he is also in charge of SPAI, the software developed by Earthpulse, aiming at decreasing the complexity to extract valuable information from geospatial data.

Fran is a Product and Project Manager with a strong background in Earth Observation and geospatial technologies.With over seven years of experience in the geospatial ecosystem, he specialises in bridging the gap between complex Earth Observation data and reliable, real-world outcomes. At Earthpulse, Fran leads the end-to-end transformation of geospatial datasets into scalable, market-ready products, combining strategic product definition with rigorous project management.He has managed high-stakes institutional projects for organisations such as the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA), ensuring alignment with technical requirements, milestones and strategic objectives. His work focuses on building solutions that are not only technically robust, but genuinely functional and impactful for end users.Beyond his role at Earthpulse, Fran is a Board Member of the Spanish QGIS Association and an active advocate for open-source geospatial technologies, including QGIS, OSGeo and OpenStreetMap.

Albert is Head of Space Programs & Project Management at Earthpulse.An industrial engineer by training, he brings extensive experience in project management across multiple industries, with a strong focus on European and national programmes. At Earthpulse, Albert leads the Project Office, overseeing the full lifecycle of projects from proposal to delivery.He is responsible for bid strategy and the submission of proposals aligned with the company’s roadmap, ensuring consistency between technical execution, strategic objectives and long-term growth.

Derek is a Software Engineer and Tech Integration Lead at Earthpulse. He has a background in remote sensing and software engineering, specialising in geospatial data science and machine learning.He is motivated by applying technology to real-world challenges in the life and geoscience domains, with a strong focus on building practical, reliable solutions. Before joining Earthpulse, Derek developed and deployed an edge-based agtech sensor product for fruit orchards in the Netherlands, leading a team of tech and field engineers as product owner in developing the core product for the company. At Earthpulse, Derek brings this experience to the development of geospatial products, combining machine learning, data engineering and a collaborative approach to building robust software that delivers real impact. He loves enabling colleagues, increasing efficiency and turning R&D into scalable software.

Her academic background includes a PhD in Geomatics, a Master’s degree in Remote Sensing Applications, and a foundation in Environmental Science.At Earthpulse, Alba focuses on analysing and monitoring environmental change across time and space, applying scientific rigour to transform complex Earth observation data into reliable evidence for decision-making.

This technical foundation continues to inform her work today, enabling her to bridge product, technology and market needs.In her current role, Judith leads partnerships and manages the enterprise pipeline, working with organisations across infrastructure, utilities, energy, supply chains and technology. Her role focuses on translating advanced Earth observation and AI capabilities into clear, credible narratives that resonate with institutions, partners and decision-makers, supporting Earthpulse’s international positioning.Before joining Earthpulse, Chiara worked at the University of Cambridge, where she supported the marketing team in communicating the impact of the university’s research and education activities.Chiara holds a BA in Languages and Communication and an MA in Intercultural Communication. She speaks Italian, English and Spanish, and has a strong interest in world cultures and cross-cultural dialogue.
