ESA Φ-lab Grand Marathon: Earthpulse selected as a finalist

Written by Earthpulse Team | 22 May 2026

Earthpulse has been selected as a finalist for the 2nd ESA Φ-lab Grand Marathon

Earlier this month, our Business Development Manager Judith Hernandez represented Earthpulse at the 3rd EO Commercialisation Forum in Seville, pitching at the 3rd CommEO Award, a competition co-created by ESA and Creative Destruction Lab Milan for early-stage startups anchoring technical innovation in a strong commercial strategy. Earthpulse, which competed before a jury of high-level industry experts, finished in the top 3.

We are now proud to share the next chapter: Earthpulse has been selected as one of just two finalists for the 2nd ESA Φ-lab Grand Marathon.

The Grand Marathon is one of ESA's flagship open innovation programmes, run by ESA's Φ-lab in partnership with Hello Tomorrow. It is designed to identify and accelerate the most promising deep-tech solutions in Earth Observation, bridging the gap between scientific innovation and real commercial impact. Being selected as a finalist, from a highly competitive field, is a strong validation of both our technology and the business we are building.

Earthpulse was founded on a simple premise: that satellite and geospatial data should be usable, not just available, helping organisations manage infrastructure risk, meet compliance requirements, and uncover operational insights. SPAI, our geo-analytics engine, and our Pulses are built to deliver exactly that for infrastructure management, compliance, and risk assessment.

Being chosen as a finalist is a recognition of both the strength of our technology and the clarity of our commercial vision, and a testament to the work Judith and the wider team put into Seville.

We will present our solution at the Hello Tomorrow Summit in Amsterdam on 12 June.
